Green Building
Bartel Contracting, Inc. promotes green building with two schools of thought. One says that the greenest building is the one that is already standing while the other pertains to new construction and the practices put in place to reduce the carbon footprint of that new building. While both approaches are considered green, Bartel Contracting, Inc. evaluates each project to decide which approach is most economical and practical. Historic restoration may be the most efficient because it drastically reduces the energy cost associated with new construction but it is not always feasible to salvage an older building.
